(no subject)
I know I say this to start off every entry, but school is crazy! Between field trips, getting ready for my sub during our Arizona trip, a major fundraising push, and the FCAT looming, it's just too busy. My to do list every day is at least 10 items, in addition to teaching and attending meetings. I need more time! I'll be there late every day this week because...
...we leave on Thursday for Phoenix! I have a sub at school for three days and I need to have everything organized neatly in folders for that person. I am hoping it goes okay. I haven't ever taken three consecutive days away from school other than the laryngitis incident, and I didn't really prepare well for that. Also, a group of my 8th grade honors students are going to take the FCAT Writes in my room (as opposed to their homeroom, long story) on Tuesday so I have to get everything off my walls or cover it up. That will be very time-consuming on Monday evening.
I also just found out that my friend Missy, her husband, and her three kids are coming to Disney the day we return from Phoenix. I'm really excited to see them, but disappointed that I can't take any more time off of work. I'm nowhere near my ten days, but I would feel bad taking another day so close to the Phoenix trip. I'm looking forward to hanging out with her in the evenings and seeing her kids enjoy Disney!
Speaking of Disney, Mike's mom is here this weekend! We are eating at Roy's with her and her friends tonight, and I think going to Epcot tomorrow. This is good because it has finally warmed up - we had a freeze this week and highs only in the low 50s, which is VERY cold for Central Florida. Finding a warm hour of the day to run has been challening! We went to MGM last Saturday and kind of froze, so I am looking forward to Epcot tomorrow where the high is a balmy 78! :o)
