Interesting that the issues that seem to relate so well to these times, and thereby make All In the Family sort of timeless, were ultra-topical at the time. It was a trademark of Norman Lear's productions to be very in step with the specifics of the times, so it is sort of surprising that the issues he faced are so timeless.
