That was a stupid move...

I recently aquired all seven seasons of Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark?, because TV shows from the 90s are WAY cooler than today's crap on the same channel.

I was watching a few episodes...in the dark.  I can already see several headdesks as people read this.   For those of you who don't know, scary things and me don't mix well.  The scariest movie I own is Poltergeist.  But I love ghost stories!!  (I have a few about WSU...)  Earlier this evening I was organizing them (common naming system, original airdates, brief episode synopsis) and it was weird how many I remember watching when they first came out.   A few I was suprised that they were episodes of AYAOFD.

Since I was having trouble falling asleep, I'd figured I watch a few.  I think the scariest one of the bunch I watched with the second episode in the first season, The Tale of Laughing in the Dark.  And it wasn't the clown that scared me...it was the other creepy guy.

I won't be suprised if my dreams are a mix of clowns smoking cigars, lonely mute ghosts trapped in mirrors, a funky twisted claw and gnomes....

I also got The (Wonderful) World of David the Gnome.  Another show from my childhood.  I hope the rest of the series is better, but the first episode was frightfully dull.
