My birthday/My chocolateday
So yesterday was my birthday. I am now 21 with 6 years experience.
The day before I was feeling really crappy and I cried myself to sleep. I was dreading my birthday cos I was feeling so down.
When I got to work on my birthday, I discovered 2 king size cherry ripes on my desk. I figured they were from Dave. We've had discussions before about how much we both love cherry ripes. It made me smile. So I thanked him and he wished me happy birthday.
Then I took the cover off my computer to discover a box of roses and favorites chocolates. Clearly this was from Bas. He likes to hide gifts like that. Crazy bugger!
A few minutes later Krys arrived with a bottle of perfume and a box of fererro rocher chocolates (my favorites).
I was sitting there at my desk with all of this chocolate. And I said that everyone had gotten me nearly all my favorite chocolate. All that was missing was some hazelnut chocolate. Then in walked Diane with a massive block of hazelnut chocolate.
She had also brought me some lollies, this lovely jewelery box and a chocolate birthday cake. So much for this CSIRO diet I'm supposed to be on!
For about an hour I didn't receive any more chocolate. Then Tina started work at 10.00 and she brought me yet another box of Favorites! Seriously, my desk was covered in chocolate!
It was really nice the amount of attention that I got. Although I did go down the back and told Ridge and Arthur off because everyone else had gotten me something except them. So Ridge gave me the hammer he was holding and said "Here. Happy Birthday Shazz." Arthur went to give me the dirty blue crate he was holding, but I said that was just too much. I only wanted something small. So he just gave me the dirty rag that was inside the dirty blue crate. Both the hammer and the rag are in my office at work. And the boys are not getting them back. Don't think Arthur will want the rag back, but Ridge is so not getting that hammer! Haha!
When I got home that night, I did nothing. I hired out a movie called The Stone Family and I also watched the Gilmore Girls on Fox. (Yeah, I have all the dvds and yet I still watch it on Fox)
Mum had gotten me the final season of Charmed. My life is complete as I now have the entire Charmed dvd collection. And she got me basketball tickets for Nov 17, when the Dragons are here next. Hopefully they can get a win this time!
I also got texts from Arthur and Hamish wishing me Happy Birthday. Liam phoned me. And Danpie left me a comment on LJ. (BTW - my email is the same as it always has been. cjwicky@hotmail.com)
