So, I applied for a mail-in rebate on the CA VirusScanner I purchased after Thanksgiving.
When I oppened it, all three of the key codes that came with the product were used, and invalid.
I called their hotline, as well as staples, CA wouldn't take it back because they didn't believe me that I hadn't used it, and Staples wouldn't take it back because the upc was in transit to CA.
Today, I received two postcards stating that my $60 of rebates were denied, because of a missing reciept.
I called their hotline, and somehow reached an actual person after pounding the 0 key enough.
He said that he was looking at a scanned copy of my reciept, and would resubmit the rebate.
....is it just me, or is that fraud?
