Sweet Home Alabama
This is our last week in Forgotonia. Yesiree, we're "packing up and moving out" and will be gone on Sunday or Monday. It's pretty cool this time that we're having movers do the whole thing for us. Never had a moving company before, maybe won't ever have one again. Kim and I found a nice rental house last weekend in a whirlwind 3 day trip to get our housing situation figured out. Our choices were pretty slim and after the first day and a half we were getting pretty discouraged but on Sunday morning we spotted a new ad in the paper, were the first ones to visit the house and signed the lease on the spot.
So today there are people at the house helping pack things up and tomorrow they load it all up and ship us out. I get really depressed with all of our stuff in boxes and thinking about all of the uncertainty ahead. April will be a very lean month for us financially with my last paycheck from here arriving mid April and my first full paycheck from Alabama not coming until mid May. That's a month of ramen noodles and kool-aid. Beyond that, our house probably wont sell for as much as we hoped which means that we may end up owing money when we sell it. Totally pusstastic.
I don't know, all this moving around really unnerves me and then who knows if I'll like the new job? I'm pretty sure I will but being up in the air really stinks.
