Well this is going well...

Yeah, so I decided to make some New Year's resolutions this year.  One of these, the 2nd one on the list actually, was to spend more time online at my old haunts (LJ, Anime Jumpgate, etc).  Generally, be a good ol' fashioned geek again.

Here we are, January 3rd and this is the first entry I'm making.  And I had the 1st off!  What did I do all day?  Watched Twilight Zone on Sci-Fi Channel.  *facepalm*

Okay, so that is pretty much equally as geeky but I digress.  The point is that I mean to post in this damn journal more often because it isn't fair to those of you who have put up with me as a friend (what WERE you all thinking!? *giggle*) to never know what's happening in my life or even if I'm, basically, still alive.  :p

So, we'll see how long this lasts!  LOL!

To sum up, my job still sucks my ass.  You know I actually got reprimanded for warning my coworkers about the ice that had formed on the back step yesterday?  Yes, I sent a message that there was a bit of ice there so heads up because we don't have any salt.  I had asked this of the office manager (I need nicknames for these people).  She said that the people who own the building take care of that.  My boss's wife owns the building.  *headdesk*  Yes, we should have a bag or box of salt, just in case.  So I got reprimanded because they didn't want anyone in the office to know that there was no salt.  Essentially, if someone falls and hurts themselves, they're fucking liable and they know it so they don't want the employees to know they can sue.  (would it be unethical of me to purposely fall and break something? Hee!)

So yeah, job sucks.  No more interviews or anything better yet.  Therefore, I have been researching and entertaining the idea of going back to school to get my B.A.  I would need to do online or evening classes to work around my schedule but at least I would be more considered for those higher paying jobs with that handy dandy little piece of paper.  ;)

I just got a call from my friend tonight.  He's one of the people who kind of helped get me back into theater (other than Sis, natch).  We'll just call him...Quagmire.  I think he'd say that's an appropriate nickname.  ;)  So Quagmire is on the board of directors for the theater troupe that I got involved with last summer and they are gearing up for the shows for Summer 08.  I had expressed interest in being the publicity director this year and he was letting me know that they would love for me to take the position.  So I will essentially be in charge of all publicity for our shows this year.  We're doing a musical called "Back to the 80's" which is going to be just a BLAST (and I will definitely be auditioning for).  Then for the straight play, they decided to do a series of one-acts.  One of which was a little play I suggested called Act Three, Scene Five, which is about a group of students rehearsing the famous Act Three, Scene Five of Romeo and Juliet.  It's quite funny.  So this should all be very fun.  :)

Other than that, not a whole lot to tell at this point.  I fear that should I stick with my resolution this year, my journal entries shall be frightfully dull.  ;)  I shall try to spice up what I can.  LOL!

Well, I'm off to update the Amazon wishlist!  :)
