just start with the facts

this should have been a keen weekend.  i had duty on friday (which means i worked from ~5am on friday until a nominal 8 or so on saturday), but ended up staying at work cleaning up paperwork and tests until 4pm (or so) on saturday.  that's cool--we had monday off.  huzzah.

was planning on climbing rocks saturday, but as it turns out, working for 35 straight hours takes it out of you.  i got home just long enough to collapse on my bed.  so it goes.  i DID go climbing on sunday, and successfully took out a couple of new boulder problems.  take that, couple of new boulder problems.  jamie found another overhang blah blah climbing stuff blah.  i.m. me if you really want to talk about adventures at the rock gym.

one thing of note--met jamie's friend (jamie's from work, incidentally) zach, who had played pickup ultimate with jill et al in the ghent game.  we agreed that most of the people in these games (they're the same people from winter league, in which i played last year) couldn't understand that we played the sport to relax ("hey, what's up? wanna go throw the disc?").  the thing that surprised me was that, when i asked if he knew jill, he said, "yeah.  what a total bitch!"  i've never played with jill--can anyone tell me if he's crazy?

sunday night i went up to williamsburg and hung out with mike and friends.  sort of bad in that it reminded me that other people out there are living happy, well adjusted lives with friends and free time.  bugs me something fierce.  in fact, it bugged me all day (and left me with one hell of a headache) until i swung by total wine and picked up a few bottles.  pinot noir is calming me down for now.  hopefully i'll get out on the porch with my pipe for a contemplative moment.

i owe many of you postcards.  problems: i'm ineffective at task accomplishment.  bug me for these.  even if you're not someone who i think i'm sending a postcard, you can correct me.  they're mostly from either scotland or norway, with a couple from france.  let me know!

withans is totally right: this is eerily accurate.
