Home again

Came back today, since the Parental Units were off to Arizona to watch the Bowl Game and my brother was in Hawaii, and I'm glad to be home.  Haven't quite unpacked everything, but I figured that I needed some time to unwind after the 12-hour ordeal.

I love the drive from Chicago to Kansas.  It's so calming, except for the traffic on the Eisenhower when I'm returning.  It's a great time to get my mind in order and just relax as the miles pass by.  Returning the car after I got home...  that was the aggravation.  It wasn't a big imposition...  just drive to O'Hare, refuel the car, drop it off, and take the CTA home...  but I was just ready to get back to the apartment and watch my stories.

(Oh, RTD?  You owe me an hour of my life back after that Doctor Who Christmas Episode.  We're getting a year off of a regular season for THAT?)

All the gifts went over well, all the gifts I received were extremely nice and well thought out, and I received a beautiful old knitted scarf from my grandparents during the now annual "Pass Out the Heirlooms and Tell a Story" portion of Christmas.

I should stay in tonight, but I don't know if I will.  I should consider going out and being gay.  We'll see.  Maybe I should go check the hood of my car.
