And to answer your question, well ... It's rather unclear. We're supposed to catch and train the creatures of this world, at least according to the directions I've been given. But how and when you go about it doesn't seem to matter. I just take the days as they come. It seems easier that way.

Ah, no! [He smiles at her.] Nothing like that. If you check your bag, you should find a set of red-and-white balls. These are pokéballs, and what you use to catch your pokémon with. I have absolutely no idea how it works, though I'd like to understand it one day. The technology here is really something.
