[Ema shows up in the screen, her eyes widened and her mouth drawn into a thin line.]

Uh. So...

...

Is there anyone out there? I just got thrown out of a house, and there is a robot chasing after me. [She looks around randomly, waving the pokégear around until she manages to "film" a lone magnemite. It seems she hasn't realized she's merely recording ( Read more... )

I'm nowhere near New Bark, unfortunately, but I think I can answer your questions, if you'd like to know anything. I was in your situation just two weeks ago, and I was fortunate enough to have people share what they knew with me. Information is always valuable, don't you think?

It's... uh, well, I've heard what that old man had to say, and okay, so...

[She bites on her lip and thinks for a little while.]

...does this mean I'm in another world?

Yes, that seems to be the case. In all honesty, though, I think it's a welcome change, especially considering how fantastic this world really is. [He sounds a little elated, yes.]

B-But! [She feels something inside her stomach jump.]

What about my house? I mean -- I -- okay, at least I don't have to be a detective anymore. [She smiles dreamingly at this, but then shakes her head.] Then, what am I supposed to do?

You're a detective? [Ooh tell him more.] What's your name - where do you work? I doubt it, but perhaps I might've had a chance to work with you at some point in time. I worked with the FBI before coming here.

And to answer your question, well ... It's rather unclear. We're supposed to catch and train the creatures of this world, at least according to the directions I've been given. But how and when you go about it doesn't seem to matter. I just take the days as they come. It seems easier that way.

[Ema just shrugs and sighs.] Yeah, yeah, I used to work for the LAPD. The name is Ema Skye; I'm the younger sister of the ex-Chief Prosecutor Lana Skye! [She grins a bit here.] You've probably heard of her, of course.

...Well, Sparky doesn't like it when I try to catch him. [She suddenly sounds confused.] Am -- am I supposed to have a special bug-net, or something?

Hm, I believe I haven't gotten in touch with the LAPD. I've mostly
worked on the east coast, which might explain why I haven't heard of your sister? Either that, or we're from different times. It wouldn't surprise me.

Ah, no! [He smiles at her.] Nothing like that. If you check your bag, you should find a set of red-and-white balls. These are pokéballs, and what you use to catch your pokémon with. I have absolutely no idea how it works, though I'd like to understand it one day. The technology here is really something.

[Ema just shuffles about, before shrieking and giggling madly.]

I did it! It's inside one of these! Pokéballs, was it? And it didn't even shocked me, like before! Thanks, mister, uh...

[He smiles widely at her.] You're welcome! I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Dale Cooper. Pleasure meeting you, Ema.
