cat or kitten
So me and my boyfriend are contemplating on getting a cat.
We both have had pets in the past, but neither of us have had cats. So new to the topic, we're not sure what a cat/kitten would need as basic equipment, what kind of medical treatment they need, and what else one would need to know/keep an eye out for.
Does anyone on my friendlist have some tips?
Oh, and some things that need mentioning:
- we're both students, so money is often tight
- I am allergic to cats, yet not too bad (I don't get real problems around them, only when I touch) should I completely abandon the thought of a cat as a pet, or are there any pointers?
- which is better, a kitten or an adult cat from a shelter? (I've been told that an adult cat might not be too problematic for my allergy)
