Yesterday, Spartans Taking Action Now: Darfur (STAND), a group that Kati knows the co-founder of, was notified by Reebok and MtvU that we had been selected as one of three finalists to receive a $10,000 grant for our work to promote awareness about the genocide that is ongoing in Darfur, Sudan, which has already claimed 400,000 lives and displaced 2 million people. The reason that I am posting this is because we need people to vote for our group online so that we can
receive the grant. Please visit:

The voting process is simple:
There is a $40,000 grant that Swarthmore, Georgetown, and Duke are eligible for. I personally would
encourage you to vote for Georgetown since it is their organization which helped organize the National
Student Leadership Conference: A Call to Action for Darfur, which brought together hundreds of college and
high-school students and representatives of other groups.
Then, you will be taken to the next page where you can vote for the $10,000 grant finalists. University of
Florida, the Liberation Theater, and Michigan State University are eligible. Of course, I'm encouraging
you all to vote for MSU. You can read about our plans on the website, in addition to the other groups.
Voting ends on May 4. Please take 10 seconds to support Michigan State University's STAND against genocide. You may vote as many times as you want.
