Pat Robertson finally died. Happy Pride!
Sure, we all know about how much he hated gay people and blamed them for 9/11, various hurricanes, and probably that bad case of piles that just wouldn't go away. But he also palled around with dictators, talked shit about the anti-apartheid movement--Google that, kids! Prepare to be super fucking bummed out!!--and said Haiti's suffering was the result of a pact they made with the devil and not, say, geopolitical revenge from France and other so-called "enlightened" western nations. Because the only way Black people could have defeated their white colonial enslavers was with a little help from Satan.
I'm pretty sure Satan, should he exist (he doesn't but go with me here), is probably just fine with slavery.
We all know the batshit thing he said about feminism, because it's one of my favorite things ever and I just wrote about it like a month ago.
Supposedly he was alright with trans people, unless they were feminists, I guess. Except not really, because he also said most trans people were just faking it so they could watch people of the opposite sex poop in public bathrooms.
Oh, and he was also anti-adoption because maybe those kids had been abused and that shouldn't be your problem, which is just a staggeringly bizarre thing to even think, never mind say out loud where other people can hear you.
Anyway, he spent about 8 decades making the country--nay, the world--a worse place, so fuck him, the only bad thing about his death is that it didn't happen in infancy.

Lori and Jeremy both want to go to the Oddities & Curiosities Expo with me and Other Sarah, and they invited me to stay with them on either Saturday or Friday and Saturday. I'm going to stay there on Saturday night for sure, and I'm seriously thinking about leaving straight from work tomorrow and staying both nights. They had to leave the friend's house they were staying at in the Garden District at the start of June, but they just moved a mile to a 2-bed/2-bath townhouse in the Irish Channel.
