I used some of this week's survey money to buy some body butter at
Witch Baby Soap. Normally I get myself some for my birthday in November, but I had other stuff I needed/wanted more, and then there was all the holiday spending. I can't get it once it gets hot, because it's a coconut oil base. Too warm and it will melt in transit, and I'll have paid $35 for a greasy box. She didn't have any Third Eye in stock, which is my favorite, but I did get some Blood and Milk (orange and coconut), which is my 2nd favorite, and some Psychic (amber, lavender, vanilla bourbon), which is also quite nice.
Cracked open my new vanilla oleoresin. I combined it with cedar, pepper, and a tiny bit of anise--those spice oils quickly get overwhelming if you don't use a very light touch (patchouli, too). Which sounds weird, but it's kind of like... if you were baking spice cookies... on a cedar plank? Anyway, it works.
I went to Five Below for the first time in a while. I thought they might have some cheap small picture frames for the set of mini cross stitches I'm currently working on. I didn't find any I liked, but I got a tablet stand, one of those ones that's a bunch of jointed balls that pivot all over, it kind of looks like a sea monster; and a small cafe message board. You know, the lined felt board that comes with a bunch of letters and punctuation. That's a frivolous purchase, but one I can kind of justify. I'm forever getting phrases stuck in my head and thinking "I should stitch that", but if I actually did so I'd never have time for anything else. So I'll use this instead. Too bad it isn't big enough for my all-time favorite quote, Pat Robertson's hilariously deranged definition of feminism:
The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians.
