I got my Delta 8 gummies in yesterday's mail: I had been going to wait until Friday to try the strength but decided fuck it, life's been pretty stressful lately, I'mma just try one.
There's conflicting advice on whether you should take an edible on an empty stomach or not, but I've always found any kind of medicine works better on me if I take it with food. Like even Advil, if I have a headache I'll either wait for a mealtime to take it or have a glass of milk and a slice of bread with it. It's like it hitches a ride with the food and gets to work faster. So anyway, I took it about 10 minutes before dinner and started to feel it about a half hour after I ate. It's not as potent as the THC-P, but it's steadier, without the peaks you get from vaping.
I'm going to try their Delta 10/8 vape. It was smart of Binoid to send me the rechargeable vape pen, because now I'm just going to keep trying different products.
I'm probably self-medicating but oh well, fuck it. It's affordable (I'm still on the first vape cartridge that I bought in August) and certainly healthier than booze. And it doesn't keep me from getting up and going to work in the morning--quite the opposite, as I always sleep better on those nights.
I also took Penny for a real walk after work, since the weather has been less awful lately, which helps with sleep. Although I walk a lot at work, too--I have one of those alarms on my smart watch that prompts you if it thinks you've been sitting too long. But trudging up and down fluorescent-lit hallways just isn't the same as an actual walk outdoors, with a dog.
Tonight's spooky season movie was The Night House, at the suggestion of
lifeinroseland. It was pretty good, and I finished this coloring page:
Puffins are mostly black and white, but that would be too boring for a coloring book. So I used the 3 darkest shades of blue for the black; and the lightest shades of blue, grey, and blue-green for the white parts.
p.s. If you want to recommend a scary movie, I have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Apple+, HBO, and Peacock.
