Saturday
Went to Five Below, carwash, grocery store. Made some gorgeous chi chis in the afternoon:
Look at that froth. I'm too lazy to use a blender and crush the ice, but if you put it in a shaker with a few ice cubes and shake the hell out of it 50 or 60 times, it will come out pretty nice.
Did one of the $5 nail sets from Five Below:
Fake nails are one of my guilty pleasures. I don't wear them constantly, and I usually get tired of them after 4 or 5 days and pry them off--they've improved the glue a lot in recent years, it's possible to remove them without mangling your own nails.
Remembered Mom signed up for Paramount+ so she could watch Yosemite, so I started watching the 2nd season of Evil. This is the most delightfully fuckbonkers show that not enough people are watching.
Finished the octopus in the coloring book I bought a couple weeks ago:
Sunday
Made pumpkin pie cream cheese muffins for breakfast:
I used the King Arthur Flour gluten-free muffin mix, substituting a cup of canned pumpkin for the cup of milk called for, and adding a couple teaspoons of pie spice, then shoving a chunk of cream cheese into the top before baking.
Finished my August bullet journal layout, changed/washed the bedsheets, did a load of towels, made more peanut butter/bone broth dog treats.
Made a recipe from my fancy toast cookbook: sourdough with maple-date ricotta, brown sugar pecans, and bacon.
Made banana pudding for dessert; David bought me some green bananas at the start of the week so they were perfect by the time I needed them:
That's homemade pudding, by the way.
Watched part of the Netflix series about the asshole who made "revenge porn" a thing, The Most Hated Man on the Internet. I don't know if I'll finish it, Swindled just re-aired their episode about him so it's not new information, and frankly the subject matter is so repellant it makes me queasy.
