my internet has been shitting with me for the few weeks. it would go on for a while then suddenly a "local area connection disconnected" window pops up from the lower right hand corner of the screen.
just a while ago, while fixing the router, i accidentally knocked over the pencil case where my dad puts his staple wires. it's actually my second time to knock down that case. i didn't panic anymore since i already knew what to do. the first time i hit that pencil case, i got a broom and starting sweeping what i spilled. my sister laughed at me and told me that i'm doing a long process. she then instructed me to get a long magnet that was planted on the ref and place it near the staple wires to see if they will stick to the magnet. it actually worked and saved me a lot of time rather than sweeping those tiny silver things and placing them one by one in the pencil case. so thanks to my sister, i already knew what to do. no panic, no stress... right? wrong. i never expected it to happen to me but it did. a wire with about 5 staples attached, or must i say 'stapled', itself on my heel. that's when the panic started to happen. it didn't hurt but it did sting. i removed the wire and it started bleeding. "wtmfh did i do wrong today? i didn't sin as much today! i was even quiet today, Lord," was going on and on in my head while wiping the bleeding spot with alcohol. it didn't sting anymore--my heel happens to be thick and na-manhid na din. i placed a band-aid and voila, all better. after that incident, i was careful not to step over a staple wire and get more staples to staple itself on me. (oh wow i just used staple 3 times in a sentence. HAHA) i started doing the magnetic sweep and i was done after 10 minutes (max).
so why did i blog about my staple wire incidents? hindi dahil trip ko, okay? HAHA! i actually learned a thing or two (actually, i learned 3 things. hahaha!).
1. you can clean up the mess you've created no matter how messy. yes, i know, sounds impossible. i'd say bullshit if i didn't undergo that incident. but before attacking to fix the mess you made, make sure you've analyzed how to work around it. in my first incident, i opted to do the harder way (sweeping staple wires) because i didn't know if the easier plan (magnet the staple wires) would work. the plan sounded impossible at first but i gave in because, well, sweeping will be a drag. which leads me to number two.
2. whatever plan you opt to do, do it with patience and determination. you won't finish cleaning up if you're not patient. even if the magnet plan was easier, it still took me patience to finish cleaning up. i had to go through the nicks and crannies (mga kasuluk-sulukan ng lamesa) and made sure there were no staple wires left. you also shouldn't give-up. so what if it's the easiest option ever? i could've easily gave up and made manang do it tomorrow but i didn't. i thought of the consequences if i made her do i and it would be: 1. mother would go ballistic if she saw all the staple wires lying on the floor. HAHAHA and 2. not learning how to clean up what i messed up.
3. it's not always rainbows and butterflies. this is the part when the staple wire went through my heel. there will always be problems related to problems. okay confusing, let me rephrase. there will always be problems when you're trying to fix a problem. and sometimes, those problems can hurt you. but that shouldn't stop you from fixing it, should it? it should push you to continue fixing. it should make you more careful the next time you fix problems. it should make you work harder, better, faster, and stronger. ha! witty. ;)
it's so funny how i related life and its problems to staple wires. B)
it's so funny how i'm still hurting after everything. maybe it's because i did it against my will. i was selfless because i was selfish. i did it for you even if i knew it would get me in deep shit. funny ng life, noh?
anyway. blah.
