we'll keep moving but i'm not leaving.

before getting ready for the Metro Station concert yesterday, my mum suddenly told me:
"Parang ayaw kitang mag UP Iloilo. Mamimiss kasi kita eh."

GRRRRREAT. after filling up and messing up my UPCAT form, she tells me that. i find it funny, actually, that after all the serious talk and all the plans we made, she goes on and tells me that.

so anyway. that's not what my blog's about. it's about the way i spent the last weekday before my last first day of high school.

izzy invited me to watch the Metro Station concert in town since she had an extra ticket. i knew i was grounded but i found it hard to say no because i liked MS before Shake It was used for the Minute Maid commercial. but i still asked mum -- you never know until you try, right?

so moving on.
obviously my mother allowed me to go.

i watched the concert with izzy, ria, olive, mikki, danban, paolo (ria's brother) and his friend. louise was at the VIP section with jerome. lining up early was a drag but it was a free concert and we wanted nice seats so we didn't complain. it payed off since we got 3rd row seats (thanks to mikki and olive, who cut off a kid. HAHA!). it's funny how we wanted nice seats even if we weren't die hard fans. we knew the lyrics to some songs but we don't memorize all (although i memorize California. heehee). olive went wild when Trace Cyrus threw his towel in our area. she literally fell off her chair to fight for that towel. HAHAHAHA!

that's us plus Trace's towel

what made me irriated during the concert were the kids in front of us. yes, they were teenagers but they acted like tweens, thus, they were kids. they had cardboards that spelled Trace's name at one side and their Twitter accounts on the other stating that Trace, Mason, Blake and Ant should follow them. me and danban talked about this while waiting for the show to start. we agreed that MS members won't follow them because if they followed one fan, they should follow all fans. also, the band's members won't follow them because they would only want to follow those close to them. they wouldn't want their page to be flooded with stranger's tweets now, would they?

anyways. kids' cardboards blocked my view most of the time during the show. it was hard taking decent pictures because of those follow-me-on-twitter cardboards. bah. but hey, my camera worked with me last night and took good photos of the show. B)

here are some photos:

i like this picture because the purple light owned it. \:D/
but i think it would look better if my camera was an SLR.

i find it cool that Mason waved the Philippine flaglet knowing that it was our Independence Day. i couldn't get nice pictures of Mason because of the cardboard girls.

asdfghjkl :x :x :x it's Blake, my crush! :x i loved how he was dancing while playing the keyboards. :x too bad he was far away from the stage, my pictures of him are somehow blurry because of the zoom. :(

this photo's from izzy (i don't have a nice picture of Ant because he was far away and the cardboards blocked my way)
i love that he's Pinoy and he's not ashamed about it (some Fil-Ams are, if not most). he doesn't even have that twang when he speaks Filipino!

overall, having the courage to ask mum if i can go because i know i'm grounded was worth the 30 minutes of dancing and singing-along. :)

thank you again, izzy, my ticket benefactor. 8)

in other news:
SCHOOL ON FRIKKIN' MONDAY. HAHAHA
i'm excited. :o
