My hand is still numb :(

Where was I?

It's been almost 2 weeks since my last post, but lots have happened since then. But since I don't have too much time I'll give a few cliff notes:

Two weekends ago me and the honey went to Rehoboth Beach to spend time with his family. It was his mom, his two sisters and a boatload of children. Alan's mom rented a 3 bedroom condo so it was pretty cool since it was like 2 blocks from the beach. We arrived late friday night and chatted a little with the people who were still awake.

Saturday was spend walking the main strip and beach with everyone. it was really nice. I got a couple of baubles, we walked around to the gay spots (but not the beach. Damn.) and found out that it was Rehoboth Pride Weekend! Wow! What a coincidence. But since it was a family outing, we opted to stay with the family rather than run off with the other gays.

But nightlife was a totally different story. We found out where the after-party was and I decided that we should go. Only problem was it was supposed to be like in the low 50s that night and all I brought was a tank top. So that just gave me another excuse to go shopping at the outlets! Yay!

We had dinner at this cute crab and seafood place, which was very welcoming to gays (and bikers, apparently it was their weekend too!), before heading out to the outlets.

I wasn't impressed. I just bought a t-shirt but it was cool. It's a red one. By organizing my closet according to color, I realized that I don't have many "warm" colors, mostly blues, grays and blacks. So I'm trying to learn more towards reds, yellows and orange when I buy new clothes.

We got home and found out that one of Alan's sisters had gone missing. It was his "evil" sister, she said she was gonna step out to get ice cream but never came back.

We eventually got a hold of her and she asked me if I wanted to join her at the bar near the beach. Since I was the only drinker around and she can't stand Alan, I went to make sure she was ok. Basically, since she doesn't believe in baby-sitters she never gets a break from the kids, and since she only trusts her family to watch them, this was her only time to get some "me time". We ended up staying there for 3 hours just talking. It was nice getting to know her better. I knew she liked me, but I initially thought it was only coz me getting close with her would piss Alan off, and this of course she knew, but she genuinely likes me. That was good to know, and even though I missed the Pride after party it was good that I got to know his sister better.

Other than that work has really been kicking my ass.

And not only work, Alan told me on Friday that he needs to send in my artwork for Gaylaxicon on Tuesday. That's all well and good, considering I didn't get anything done for the con yet! Talk about pressure!

So I spent saturday working on my lectures/notes/experiments/quizes/etc and spend sunday working on 2 of the 3 art pieces from pencils to colors.

So now he tells me, I don't have to hurry, since we're going to be bringing the artwork with us instead of sending it. So I basically worked on the pieces till I had no more feeling in my right hand, for nothing.

Well at least they're done and I only have one more to work on, which I'm debating whether or not I'll actually include it in the set or not. We'll see.

Here's the link of what I did so far:

So I watched "Dancing with the Stars" last night. A show I've never watched or had any interest in. The only reason I watched it was coz of Mel B.

I was surprisingly entertained. It has a very "ballroom competition" atmosphere, which I guess is the appeal for the show.

I was also surprised who I enjoyed watching dance, Jane Seymour, Marie Osmond and that Cheetah girl chick.  Jane and Marie are such performers, they've been in showbiz forever so it doesn't surprise me. But I did give my majority vote to Scary Spice.

I enjoyed watching the women, tonight its the guys' turn, which I'm not really interested in, but I was wrong before. We'll see.
