I’m sexy, I’m cute, I’m popular to boot...Hate me cos we're cheerleaders, but we don’t like you either, WE'RE CHEERLEADERS. ROLE CALL. In the airport waiting to fly back to England. Had an amazing time in LA topped off by a great week meeting Ed, Ewan, Flo, Paddy, Sarah and Fleachta. Now have to show Brett just how great Hull is, wont be hard...we all know what a happening place the city is full stop. So here’s what we’ve been up to for the last week, courtesy of my fav Dubliners. Monday we flew into New York after the crazy 4 45 getting up… All was made up for that night when we sat on the roof of their apartment, drinking beers and vodka I had flown over and playing truth and dare, which degenerated into me getting like a million bruises all over my arms and dirt covering my back. Which no one told me about, so the whole of Times Square saw me looking like a tramp that belonged in Harlem. Ahhh well, just getting pissed with ewan, fighting with mcflurry’s ...
Ok, I’m not going to bore everyone with typing up every time Brett had a shit, I puked and Kirra made me hurry up, but here are some of the highlights of the trip. A definite not highlight, but memorable first day at work has got to be at the Salad Bar. My insides were all wobbly (ok I cant explain the feeling!) when I saw the cut he got on his thumb. Damn, some stupid machine keeps beeping and is driving me crazy! I think the fact that we got so belligerently drunk the night before, dancing with some soon to be divorcee could had played a crucial part in the disaster. But I hope it gets better soon, and at least you have a permanent reminder of the trip. Maybe the tattoo thought of when we were walking down Times Square would have been a better and less painful option though huh!?
Managed to see most of the sights in New York - Times Square, Circle Line Cruise, Conan Obrien, Rupert from Letterman Show, Empire State Building, Central Park, Washington Square, Met, Natural History Museum, China town, SOHO, Little Italy and East Village…. Managed to go drinking in a few bar crawls and have never been id’d so few times…Loving it!! Never got to go out with Ewan to the gay bar I had heard so much about… did wander around in the cowboy hat though! Best part of the week had to be the permanent singing of Bring It ON, in fact so much of it was fun that I didn’t want to go home, but then I remembered the pea factory and I am again a happy soul!
Alex, I am almost certain I have lost ure present. If Ewan finds it ill get him to bring it back and claim all the credit for it…grrr!!! Im over to Dublin on 25th June for a week, my mobile number is 086 8678090 if you wanna go for a drink. I have a hug from Ewan to give to you…and all the other crazy things he has been doing to me in his sleep!! Oh yeah, we also saw a wizard on the subway, I love NY and all its craziness!!
I know only Ed and Ewan looks at this from NY, but thanks again everyone for letting us stay. U are the bestest and I swear to god it would make me so happy if u all were to come to hull next year and see my world! Its well cheap on Ryan air, so I wont stop whining until you are all there…AND ENJOYING IT!! Thanks again, make sure you keep me updated through this and I cant wait to see you all again. Love you.
Got back to England alright. Pretty tired, am waiting for brett to get up - lazy ass!! And then im off for a shower and the sights of hull… woo hoo, well maybe York so I can prove that the North has SOMETHING to offer, not just me!
