(no subject)
It's so hard to believe my last entry was twelve weeks ago...so...I think I might have totally failed at my goal of updating my journal more often this year! :S
Today is a very special day...It's my friend dreamlikeoasis bithday...Happy Birthday Trina!!! :D, I'm sad I didn't get to spent much time with you today :(
Today I also had my first driving lesson ever!...leo decided it was a good day to start teaching me and so he did...I didn't much really, but i got to start the car, learn how to change the gears and even let the car move a little...neddless to say is that the car got turn off a bunch of times...but Leo says it's pretty natural for that to happen when you're learning...so I don't feel so bad about it! :P The plan is I'll go to a driving school next year but he wants to thach me some "basics" first :)
On a sad note...This past weekend was a very sad one in my country because last saturday it rained so much, due to the effects of the Tropical storm "Ida" that several small towns were completely destroy by a combination of floods and landslides. Hundreds of people were killed, and thousands have lost their homes and everything they had. So many efforts are still being made to actually reach some small towns that even now are only accesible by helicopter. It's sad to see how unprepared we are to any natural disaster and one have to wonder how many lives would it take for us to learn the lessons of this tragedies...
