Summary : Kim Ryeowook who has an amazing voice manages getting a scholarship into the most prestigious University in Seoul.
What could possibly go wrong besides falling in love with the person who has an 'art-like voice'?
Prologue
Chapter One
"Ryeowook~ Wanna order food?" Shouted Sungmin. He was currently at the living room snuggling to Kyuhyun. He was.. not a very good cook.
And in order for the two younger boys to live a long life, he decided take out is the best solution.
Just when he was about to pick up the phone, Ryeowook came out from his room and suggested that he will be the one making dinner.
And it was a very good idea. Who would've known Ryeowook has amazing cooking skills?
"God, this is better than my Mom's cooking!" Kyuhyun exclaimed happily. Ryeowook then murmured a thank you which Kyuhyun heard.
Sungmin giggled at Kyuhyun's reaction.
Just then the door flung open revealing a very handsome young man wearing a black rain coat. Ryeowook feels like his heart is gonna jump out any second if he keeps staring at him.
"Ah Jongwoon Hyung you're home~! It's raining quite heavily outside. Why don't you sit here and eat some dinner~! Ryeowook made it you know." Sungmin said happily pointing at Ryeowook. "And this is Kyuhyun. Remember my boyfriend~!" Sungmin said hugging the said man.
Jongwoon only glance at them before saying, "No thanks. I'm tired" with a very low voice that only the three could heard. And with that said, he rush to his and now Ryeowook shared bedroom.
"Pfft. What's with him? I thought girls are the one to go PMS". Kyuhyun said before continuing eating his food. And Sungmin could only say that he's just tired and let him rest. Also some warning to Kyu to act nice or his games are going to end up in the trash.
Dinner was quiet except for Sungmin who keeps nagging at Kyu who didn't eat his vegetables. And Ryeowook.. Was somehow sad. Why didn't he join them for dinner? Is it because his cooking aren't good enough? Or the food is just.. plain? Well whatever it is, he's gonna know after dinner.
After dinner the two love birds went to the their shared bedrooms leaving Ryeowook in the kitchen.
'Maybe I should go in and give Jongwoon Hyung his food'. Ryeowook thought. And in the end he brought the food in a tray not forgetting a glass of water.
But just then, the lights went off.
'Jeez, stupid rain making the lights go off. Now where do they put the candles.. Aha!' Ryeowook smiled happily finding the candles in the cabinet.
"Ryeowook~ Jongwoon Hyung~ Everything alright? I got flashlights". Sungmin asked from his room in a slightly worried tone. As the reply Ryeowook plus Jongwoon shouted back with a 'yes'.
Knock Knock..
"Come in". Ryeowook then slowly open the door holding the tray in one arm.
"Umm.. Jongwoon Hyung. I brought dinner." The younger one said feeling him self almost stuttering. Silently closing the door behind him with one foot. Ryeowook could see some bruises and scratches in his arm but shrugs it off. It's probably none of his business anyway.
The older male was in his bed reading a book with a flashlight in one hand and a candle beside him muttering a 'I said I'm not hungry'. Not even looking at the younger man.
Ryeowook feel himself tensing up. Why is this guy so cold to him?!
"B-But.. It's good and you should eat. I wouldn't want you to be sic.."
"I said I'm not fucking hungry. Will you just shut up and go the fuck away?!" Jongwoon answer angrily closing his book.
Ryeowook could feel himself tearing up. He didn't mean to make him angry. He was just worried for his health.
Ryeowook then open his mouth to apologize but he heard Jongwoon sigh and said, "Just.. Leave it on my table" which Ryeowook quickly did.
He was about to turn around when the candle on the table suddenly fall and the fire was caught in the curtains.
The two panicked and Ryeowook was going to open the window but he slipped and was about to fall. Luckily Jongwoon caught him.
If it wasn't for the rain that put the fire out. Ryeowook is probably on fire and hanging from a three storey building.
You can bet that Ryeowook is scared out of hell but one good look at Jongwoon was a completely different person from before. Sweat forms in his face and a very panicked expression.
For a second, Ryeowook felt safe holding Jongwoon's hand and never wanting to let go.
But before he knew it, he was pulled by a very panicked Kyuhyun and Sungmin along with Jongwoon. As soon as he was safe, he was scolded by a very worried Sungmin, greeted by a very mad concern Kyuhyun, and a relief looking Jongwoon.
He didn't pay attention to the almost broken window that by any second will break, the burned curtains, and.. a punishment waiting.
The room was quiet. The only sound is the ticking in of the clock. The four room mate was currently in Leeteuk's office ready for some scolding.
Leeteuk was staring at them intensively. Sungmin was fidgeting in his seat, Kyuhyun who was standing could only stare at the clock hoping it would end soon, Ryeowook was playing with the hem of him shirt, and Jongwoon was keeping on a calm face.
Every passing second in silence was hell and when Kyuhyun broke the silence with a 'Did we do something?'. That's when Leeteuk lost it.
"How could you almost put on a fire?! Breaking the window, almost harming your friend from falling?! This is terrible! I'm in charge of the dorms here and I am deeply sad! What if I call your parents?! Would you like that? Huh?!
Mr. Jongwoon this is your last year here! You really want to go through another year in here again?! You're the one who got a scholarship before Mr. Ryeowook. You should be in charge and an accident like this should not happen! You too Mr. Lee! You.."
Ryeowook was surprised. So Jongwoon was the scholarship guy before him? He's face just screams bad boy but having a scholarship means that he has manners not only talent.
The nagging continues for about an hour. It really was like getting scolded from your mom because you didn't eat your vegetables.
Leeteuk nagging finally ended with a sigh. He took off his glasses and stood up from his seat.
"Just paying the damage in your dorm or detention isn't enough you know? But for now, it's late and tomorrow is your first day here..
You can all go back to your room now and later on, I'll call you all here for your punishment". The four bowed and exited the office.
When they were back in the dorm, Ryeowook apologize for troubling them and making them having a punishment.
Sungmin said that it was okay, Kyuhyun was looking awfully sad but then Sungmin said he'll buy the taller man the new Starcraft game making the boy feeling the opposite of how he was feeling before.
But then, when he was about to apologize to Jongwoon, he saw him rushing to his bedroom. Before he could close the door, Ryeowook stopped him.
"H-Hyung! I'm sorry that we got in trouble and.."
"Yeah.. Thanks a lot. I really look forward to the punishment Leeteuk's giving and all thanks to you". Jongwoon said ironically and closing the door.
Ryeowook felt hurt. He honestly didn't mean to. He was happy that when he was falling, Jongwoon held his hand with a very worried and panicked face. He'll do anything so that Jongwoon would be like that again.
He really didn't want to spend his college life living under one roof with the most cold hearted guy on the planet.
Tomorrow is the ceremony for the opening of freshman year and he just hopes that everything will work out fine with Jongwoon.
