Brandon text messaged me yesterday and needed to talk about a couple of things so he gave me a call and he said he was gonna pay for the divorce and asked if I could call around and see how much it would be an make an appointment to meet with one. So Thursday at 1:00 we have an appointment with a lawyer to finally get divorced. It's not really going to change anything because we've been separated for almost 3 years so I've felt divorced anyway but it'll be nice to have my last name back. And have it all done with. And it's really nice that I'm able to have a conversation with him without a bunch of bullshit being said. It was the first time I'd had any kind of contact with him (except for an e-mail he sent to me when my Mom passed with his condolences) in almost a year and I'm really glad it was friendly. I think it's best that we waited until we were both done with being pissed off at each other and could talk to one another like civil people to do this though. It's going to be much easier for all involved.
