so... remember that time pat benatar was my hero in her love is a battlefield music video and i wanted to sing and dance like her, but not dress like her because ironically that would be too trendy for today.

we are young. love is a battlefield.

so lately i have been in a music rut. i have a spankin new mp3 player but nothing to listen to on it. inspiration struck today as i watched i love the 80's strikes back: '83. must download all the songs from my late childhood when i listened to lame majic 95.5 type radio stations and knew only songs from the 80's. (much like katherine tang if you know her life story.) i was once embaressed my vast knowledge of these songs, but you know what, let's embrace it.

Don't Stand so Close to Me- The Police
Englishman in New York- The Police
I Can Dream About You- Hall & Oats
Beautiful Girl- INXS
Love is a Battlefield- Pat Benatar
We Belong-Pat Benatar
Man in the Mirror- Michael Jackson
Billie Jean- Michael Jackson
8675309/Jenny- Tommy Tutone
Total Eclipse of the Heart- Bonnie Tyler
The Power of Love- Celine Dion
Walkign in Memphis- Bruce Springsteen
You Can Call Me Al- Paul Simon
We Didn't Start the Fire- Billy Joel
the Safety Dance- Men Without Hats

but there are still some songs i will never embrace. i.e. power ballads such as (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight
