*save the wave, ride the hurricane*
omg. hmm how should i start? ok i told a bunch of people i was gonna be online until like 4 am. hah. never happened. i got on the phone at like 10 and fell asleep in my bed at 11:30 with all the lights on. well i wanted to sleep in because we didnt have school but my mom got me up at six...idk why...hahaha. but whatever. so i got my pillow and blanket and layed down on the floor in the living room and watched the news until i fell asleep. this went on for about 5 hours. in between i made a pie...haha my mom had all the stuff so she wanted me to make the pie incase the power went out and the ingredients spoiled. lol. so now we have a pie, yah. who cares if we survive the storm, as long as we have pie?!? anyway, i fell alseep again. thats basically all i did all day until my mom made me get up because "we had to be ready in case we went down into the basement". the lights flickered a couple of times but the power never totally went out. knock on wood times a thousand. if the power goes out while i'm typing this...ok well we got a bunch of crap together and i took an ice chest downstairs (hmm its still there...oops). when i was going down the stairs i was thinking "20 bucks the power will go out while im down here" and it did. well, it flickered. so i went back upstairs and laid down on the floor because my mom said we didnt have to go downstairs yet. well there's this big tree outside of our kitchen...the one my mom told me was right above my bedroom (thanks mom). its like, hugenormous. the whole day my mom was afraid it was going to fall, and when we were in the living room we heard this huge BOOM. she was like "what was that?!" and i thought something fell on the deck, and i jumped up sooo fast. she ran to the window and was like "lauren come look at this!" and i was like "no!" because she was right by the big tree and i thought that one was still standing and another one had fallen. when i finally went oer there and looked out the backdoor, there was the huge tree. it was like right outside our screened part of the porch and hanging on thr guttering of the roof. gahh it was so scary. we went looking through all the windows to see if it had hit the main roof, but we couldnt tell. and all of this was before the actual hurricane was here. it was still rainy and really windy outside, so we couldnt go look at it. we just stayed in and watched the news and the other tree...if it falls one way it'll crash through my brother's old bedroom and my parents' bedroom. if it goes the other way (which is the way its been blowing) it'll go straight through our garden. i'm hopin for the garden...obviously. well, i fell asleep again and while i was asleep the actual hurricane hit. i woke up while we were under the eye. its the eyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee of the ivan. haha. well we went outside and i took some pictures of the tree...but im a moron and i have no clue how to put them onto the computer, so im getting cyrus to help me.
