i don't know which description is more vivid...devastation or euphoria...

although:
I'm not sure if there's a metaphor for euphoria. Sometimes it's just choosing to masturbate and eat salt water taffy when there's a sink full of dishes. Sometimes, I suspect, it is beyond activity.
