(no subject)
So, last night was open mic night at the bside...fun times. I played a couple numbers...and sang backup to Anthony's harmonica on "Little Liza Jane" (that was an interesting experience). I was very mad that when I got up to play guitar my hands were shaking too much to play my favorite instrumental number (Georgia on My Mind)...so I stopped midway through the song. So i just stuck with the easy "Finnegan's Wake"...it's a fun song, and not difficult to remember. After open mic I really enjoyed just sitting around and playing guitars, i forgot how much fun it is to play with other people.
I also got to Steak n' Shake...best damn milkshake i've ever had. Anthony and Ula have been real good to me...showing me places to go when I have the opportunity to get off campus. I appriciate it.
Speaking of getting of campus...I went to get my hair cut yesterday with Hannah. It's been forever since I got my haircut, and last time I went an old friend of mine just told the stylist what to do, this time I had to do the thinking myself. I always freeze when they ask me what I want them to do with my hair...maybe cut it, i dunno. So i usually just say "make it shorter and keep it low maintence"...it's always interesting to see what each individual stylist does with it. I don't think they did a half bad job...but whatever (it's just hair).
Anyways, yesterday was a good day...good people, good food, good music...etc
