http://smokefreeohio.org/oh/about/documents/SFOlaw.pdf any thoughts on whether or not this will effect B-Side's smoking policy? after reading it through, it seems to me that B-Side does not fall under any of the exemptions and would therefore have to become smoke-free...w/ "no smoking" signs and all (i find that kind of amusing). it's not that i believe that smoking is good for people (although the issue of Time Magazine that I was reading yesterday did have an advertisement that informed me "four out of five doctors recommend Camel cigarettes"...granted it was an issue from 1946), however i'm saddened by the prospect of a smokefree b-side (not that i'll ever stop smoking in b-side...fuck ohio's state laws...unless the college remembers we're here long enough to enforce the ban, i say to hell w/ 'em, we'll stop after the first violation (a warning).
i understand smoking is bad, second hand smoke is bad, and people who have made the decision not to get lung cancer should not be forced to inhale second hand smoke...however, no indiviudal buisness owner should be forced to ban smoking from their establishment. those are just my thoughts, disagree at will, they wont change.
on other topics....i'm presenting my unit 731 paper in marietta ohio in fifteen days....so i probably shouldn't be reading over proposed issues that i can't vote on anyways, and start trying to have an actual paper written before i present it.
