Today is my birthday, and here I am in Munich. This is the first leg of our tour that isn't a part of the Great van Heemstra Reunion of 2008 (rather than staying with my relatives, we're staying with Gillian's freshman year college roommate).
We've seen about a quarter of Munich's tourist attractions already -- Schlosse Nymphenburg, a Versailles-style Bavarian royalty summer home; the Glockenspiel, potentially the world's biggest cuckoo clock; several beautiful Catholic churches; and eaten giant pretzels and Munich's best ice cream (Mozart flavored).
In store for my 28th: riding on a pedal boat in the Englischer Garten in my new birthday dress and an organ concert at one of the aforementioned churches?
