I guess I never write in it anymore because my life for the last nine months was taken over by third graders (see: learntwice).
But now I have something else to write about.
G and I leave tomorrow for an entire month! We're getting on a plane headed for Amsterdam tomorrow morning. Sometime on Thursday morning (Nederland time) we will be arriving in Amsterdam and getting a train to Rotterdam to see my mother's cousins, who will give us money from my mom's Dutch bank account (not kidding). We're going to spend a few days in Amsterdam hanging out with my wonderful cousins Marjolijn and Jetske, then hop a train to Utrecht to see my cousin Pieter. Then off to Versonnex, France to visit my aunt, who I used to spend every summer with but haven't seen, I think, since I was 15. A relaxing week gardening and riding bikes, and then a LONG train ride to Munich, possibly with a short stopover in Stuttgart, Germany. In Munich we're staying with G's freshman roommate Peggy and are going to take a very touristy excursion to the 'Cinderella Castle'. Finally, an entire week in Berlin.
G and I have packed and are counting down the hours with anticipation. Maybe I'll actually update this journal from hostels and internet cafes.
