Ever had feelings for someone who didn't like you back? Do you try to win over your crush, only to be let down in the end? If so, your flower is the daffodil.
Daffodils symbolize unrequited love. According to Greek mythology, a nymph named Echo fell in love with a young man named Narcissus, who was too self-absorbed to notice her. When Narcissus caught a glimpse of his reflection in a lake, he stared at himself until he turned into a daffodil, preventing Echo from ever being with him.
Like Echo, you might wonder if your crush even knows you exist. Or maybe you constantly fall for people who don't have the same feelings for you. Either way, unrequited love can be pretty sucky.
Think of it this way: do you really want to be with someone who doesn't appreciate your awesomeness? Pining over someone who doesn't feel the same canbe a drag. Besides, there are way better things you could do with your time, like read a really great book or teach yourself to play the harmonica with your nose (If that doesn't get your crush's attention, we think it's probably time to move on.)
