so i went in to do my russian interview today. my professor compliments me and tells me that i speak very well in russian, gave me an A on the interview, and then starts asking me if i'm going to go into a career involving the russian language. i tell her i'm not sure, but i know i want to do something with languages, either teaching or translating or whathaveyou... and she tells me she's nominated me for a russian fellowship and if i get it i'll have a hefty scholarship for the rest of my schooling. (heck yes!) so i'm keeping my fingers crossed. and if i don't get it, at least i know that i'm doing well enough with russian that my professor thinks i should keep it in mind when choosing a career.
i'm done with german and linguistics for the semester. (yay) got an A and a B, respectively. not too shabby, eh. now i just have my russian final on monday. not looking forward to a 9am exam, but oh well.
and my flight to new york for the holidays is officially booked. dec25 - jan6. about two weeks. my sister's getting all excited about buying gifts and decorating trees. our tree is gorgeous. maybe i'll take a picture or two to post. it's the best tree EVAR.
OH! i almost forgot. i got a haircut. it's SHORT. not like boy-short, but it's pretty short. i think it's cute. perhaps that will also end up in a picture post.
