Qualcuno Ti Ama

"That's death and life you see. We all shine on. You just have to notice release your hearts, alert your senses and pay attention.  A leaf, a star, a song, a laugh. Notice the little things because somebody is reaching out to you. Qualcuno Ti Ama. Somebody loves you."

"But in the quiet moments of her days and nights, she can never escape that her younger son was taken too soon. And it is always too soon. She will never recover"

Finally got down to finishing the book. I can't believe I finished another book before finishing this. I normally don't do that unless the book is extremely boring. But in this case, it is not. The book was just tiring. In a sense that it took me through emotions and experiences I didn't really wanna go through again. Funny how I say that when I always end up reading books about loved ones dying. -.- Anyway, I wished I got the book with this cover! It looks so cute! I don't really like book covers that tie-in with the movie. But well... there IS Zac Eggfron on it.

IGNORE THE RANT ABOVE. COMMENTARY STARTS AFTER THIS LINE.
I loved the book. It took you through the grief and pain of Charlie as he lost someone he loved so dearly and watch someone else he has come to love slip away from him. The book was like a beautiful story told from the lips of a veteran storyteller.

Charlie finally came to terms with his brother's death. That all this while holding on to his brother was holding himself back from the world. And though he was alive he was not really living. His world consisted of the cemeteryhe so tenderly cared for. The cemetery was a grave he built for himself. He was detached from the world outside. Tess brought that back, helped him yearn for things of the world again. Things like adventure, love and just life itself. And I guess some things you let go, some things you hold on to because somewhere deep down you know that there is hope.

The last chapter of the book was my favourite. This whole book was supposedly narrated my Florencia (the paramedic who saved Charlie's life). And it that last chapter, he inspires people to move on, let go because there ISN'T a time for everything. Life is too short. Dive for your dreams. Make the most of what you have. Live out what God has in store for you. Because when Death comes to your doorstep, it will always seem too soon. But of course, for us, we have eternity stretched out ahead in heavenly realms. Do we not?

pfft i'm rather incoherent now. my thoughts are everywhere.
