When we first got Pepper, she ate every single kind of food we gave her. We tried Science Diet that she came with (from the foster parents) but found that she was a gas-y kitten and switched her to a mostly grain-free and higher quality foods. We give her usually a can in the morning and crunchies at night.
In the last month, Pepper has become very picky. Part of this, I KNOW, is because boyfriend and I have a bad habit of giving into her begging for people food. We've vowed to stop this from now on because she is simply throwing a fit every time she gets a food she doesn't like (or used to like and now doesn't for some reason)
Pepper normally gets Evo chicken crunchies but currently is on Innova, which seems to be an "ok" choice. The Evo is very high in calories and last time she was at the vet, they informed us that she was on the very close to being overweight side of her weight for her age.
Pepper gets a selection of cans from Mud Bay. She does not like tuna or rabbit foods AT ALL. Seems to not be a fan of 'Before Grain' line foods. Her favorite seems to be Weruva (the most expensive cans at Mud Bay) but every so often she will refuse to eat a can that we've give her for no apparent reason.
Ideas/suggestions? Should we just give in and buy ALL Weruva cans? Maybe I'm missing something about her picky-ness and it could actually be serious? Advice?
thanks guys :)
