I leave you with a story for the night. It is written by my best friend but reminds me of what could happen to me in the furture with a certain situation. I have decided though it is not a bad thing if this does indeed happen, i think i would rather it happen then have nothing become of it.
Forgetting
The rain was pouring from the grey sky, just as the tears were pouring from Alexa's eyes as she ran to the front door of Adrien's house. She pulled her jacket tighter around herself and shifted her balance from one foot to another as she stood in front of the door. She could not decide if she should knock or not. She didn't even know why the hell she came here. Alexa sighed and watched how her breath became visible in front of her face. Just as she turned to leave, the door opened.
Adrien stared at Alexa's soaked form in front of him. It was obvious she had been crying. Her eyes were puffy and red, and she bit her bottom lip to keep it from trembling.
"What are you doing here?" Adrien asked.
"I...I don't know," she responded, letting her gaze drop to the floor. She couldn't bear to look him in the eyes.
"Well come in then, you're soaking wet and it's freezing out there," Adrien said, matter-of-factly. He stepped away from the door and walked towards the kitchen, expecting Alexa to follow.
Alexa took her jacket and shoes off, and placed them on chair next to the door. She breathed in the familiar scent of Adrien's house. She could smell the coffee Adrien was probably making for her, and she smiled. The first time she had smiled in days.
"Are you coming in or are you just going to keep standing there at the door?" Adrien called from the kitchen.
At his words Alexa forced her feet to move and she walked into the kitchen. Adrien was making coffee, just as she thought. He flicked on the switch to the coffee pot and then went to sit down at the counter. Alexa followed and sat down next to him. She was unsure of what to say. Instead of speaking she played with her chocolate brown hair that fell across her face.
"You shouldn't be here," Adrien stated flatly, not lifting his eyes from the newspaper he was reading.
Alexa stopped her ministrations with her hair and sighed, "I know."
Her response caused Adrien to look up, and his brown eyes finally met Alexa's honey ones. He didn't say anything else. He just waited for Alexa to continue.
"I just...I'm having some problems with Steve right now. I needed someone to talk to," she said, her voice desperate to Adrien's ears.
"Alexa..."
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have come," Alexa spoke as she stood and headed toward the door.
Adrien caught up to her and grabbed her arm before she could go any further.
"Wait," he said. He was suddenly out of breath.
Adrien stared at Alexa for a moment before he brought his arms around her and enveloped her in a tight hug. This was all it took for Alexa to completely come undone. Fresh tears streamed down her already tear-stained face. She sobbed into Adrien's warm sweater and buried her face in his neck.
"Shhh..." he soothed. He wondered why she was crying, but inside he thought he knew the answer.
"I'm sorry," he whispered into Alexa's ear, causing her to shiver.
She pulled away to look at him. "For what?"
"For not being able to give you what you need. I'm sorry."
Alexa brought her hands up to cradle Adrien's head. She ran her fingers through his mess of dark hair. Adrien closed his eyes and leaned into her touch.
"Alexa..." he breathed, but she did not remove her fingers from his hair, nor did she back away.
"You may not be able to give me what I need, but can you give me what I want? Just tonight?"
Alexa watched in fascination as Adrien swallowed hard and forced his eyes open to look at her.
"What is it that you want?"
Alexa brought her face closer to Adrien's, so now they were not even an inch apart. They could feel each other's hot breath on their faces. If either were to move just slightly, their lips would meet.
"I want to taste you," Alexa said. It was as if her words went right into Adrien's mouth they were so close.
Adrien gave in and brought his lips to Alexa's. He pulled her closer, if that was even possible, and brought his hands up to hold her head. He mimicked what she was doing to him as he ran his strong fingers through her damp hair.
Alexa opened her mouth wider to allow Adrien's tongue inside. She felt it exploring the cavern which was her mouth, and she moved her tongue to intertwine with his. The tongues played and then battled as the kiss grew more passionate.
Finally Adrien broke away and rested his forehead against Alexa's. Their breathing was heavy and rapid from kissing so intensely.
"Do you want to spend the night?" Adrien said, ever so softly.
Alexa knew she shouldn't. She had a million good reasons why she shouldn't spend the night with Adrien. But her head was not clear for her heart had taken over. She nodded, and allowed Adrien to lead her up the stairs to his bedroom.
Alexa knew tonight would be incredible, a night she would never forget. A night of great pleasure and sleeping in the arms of the one she loved. But she also knew she would regret it in the morning. She would regret even coming here. Adrien had told her before it started. He had said that he couldn't give her what she needed, and she knew it was true. The next day Adrien and Alexa would go back to being just friends, their night of passion forgotten, just as the coffee had been forgotten and left to become cold.
