Vanessa
(11/07/04) WHITE PLAINS - Vanessa Sanchez of White Plains was 15 years old when she suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car crash last year. On Sunday, her family and friends gathered to rally around her at a fundraiser held at Kelly's Pub on East Post Road in Scarsdale.
Vanessa's neighbors are raising money to help her get her own handicapped-accessible vehicle. Her mother, Yvette, says her daughter is mostly homebound without one. Vanessa was actually late for her own event because she had to wait for a ride from an ambulette service.
