vladtsepse and I got into a debate the other day regarding addictions to video games, World of Warcraft in particular.
Personally, I feel that there is something in that game that drags people in. Something that they cant just say "no" to. It seems to make people say "Just one more kill" "Just one more level".
David feels that it is the person themself that has an addictive personallity and that is what causes them become addicted. While I see his point, and can appreciate it, I have to disagree. I see people addicted to this game only and nothing else. No drugs or alcohol, and it seems that there is some type of WoW crack encoded in the game that makes people stick to a computer chair for 15hrs a day (no, Im not bitter at all.)
What is your opinon? Especially those of you that have played the game.
shannapatrick?
kryptongirl?
badspock?
EDIT 2:28pm PST
Im really thinking that this is a male/female thing. It seems that men see the game as something fun, and view the addiction as a personality trait, where as women see the game as an evil addicition. I could throw so many puns & what into here but I think I will refrain :)
