its in the genes (part 2!) :)

I went home to Caloocan last night cause I badly need some goodnight sleep. (for some reason I cannot sleep at the apartment lately). I was so tired when I arrived that I just ate dinner, rest for a while then went to sleep. Before going to bed, asked my 남 동생 if he could cook me my “baon” (packed lunch) so that nanay wont need to wake up early to do that.

When I woke up this morning, I asked him if he did cook for me, and he said he did. So I went downstairs and I found these.

Tuna kimbap (his version) and eggrolls! (and I feel like Im going to a picnic or a school field trip!) XD

I always knew that my 동생 is more domesticated than I am. I remembered the last time we went to the grocery, he did more of the picking and I, the pushing of the cart. It used to be the other way around! :D He really has a knack on cooking, and lately he has developed a liking in Korean food. Thanks to me of course! Hehehe! And well, maybe Family Outing. I recalled he asked me one time on where he could buy leeks and those “paste” they use on the show. And I have no idea!!! Hehehe.

Right now, I think he’s cooking is very promising. Im not into spicy food but his version of Korean Barbeque is really good. And I also like the one with the chicken and sesame seeds with a sweet, thick sauce. (I forgot the name >.<) And oh, he now makes our own kimchi! (not that I eat kimchi). But my tatay sure is happy about that, cause he LOVES kimchi.

My동생 and I, we were never really close before. Well, we get along, but I think its due to the fact that there are just the 2 of us, so we were left with no option but to like each other. Hehehe! But now that we grew older and more mature (I do hope that we did mature) Im starting to appreciate him more. Before, I always see him as a baggage I need to carry since he’s younger than me, and that I be counted responsible for his acts. But now I realized that he’s all grown up, capable of taking care of himself, and even, taking care of me.And who would have thought that these “craziness” of mine, called fandom would make me see that and would bring us closer :)Hehehe! And since I love to eat, as long as he cooks good Korean food, I know we’ll get along just fine :D
