Ajelia never came back to see us :/ Guess she could not stand vincent anymore, he is such a nerd. On Friday we had planned to go to the beach with the japaneses and mogolian sutdents that are in the same building as us. But it rained cats and dogs, beach was soon forgotten and we had classes instead. In the afternoonwe had another conversation session, this time I was with cute Ji Eon, she made me read dialogues and then laughed when I couldn't spell the most comon words right.
After an early dinner (third meal of the day) we went down to town, there was and open air concert organised by the municipality. The mayor was there and introduced us. Enjoy stuck up formal etquette. Took some photos for the newspapers TT.TT. THe concert was nice by the way, there was a part with a mix of traditional and modern drums. They were awesome. We took the opportunity to take some photos with traditional dancers and drumers.
After all that we went to a bar and drank. But when you drink in Korea you also eat.... a lot. Thre went our fourth meal of the day. I definitely like Gwi Hye and Ji Eon, as we were all drunk we had some kind of squealing contest in the toilets, because Gwi Hye was happy we'll be together in London and Ji Eon was sad she did not have enough money to come along. I was really impressed, I did not know Gwi Hye could drink that much, she always seems so inocent, but no no no, must be the Korean blood that makes them so resistant to alcohol. I for my part a little drunk (but I was quite fine this morning), Marcia was afraid I'd hurt myself but I did not. The doumi put us into taxis and everything went smothly afterwards.
The next morning a Korean girlfrom our dorms greeted me with a smile, it is only a few minutes later that I realised she probably was the girls that witnesses my alcohol induced gilgling fit in the corridors the previous night.
Todays the university of Jeju supplied us with a coach and a driver - who reminded us of Kitano in Battle Royal. We first went to an animist were we could see Dul Arubang, stone protectors of Jeju, they looke a bit like the Easter Island statues, but with a more phallic shape. We took a lot of photos and dispise the rain we had a lot of fun. Then Kitano drove us Seongsan il chulbong, a volcanic island on the coast of Jejudo, what we did was climbing up to the crater. Half an hour of stair on the way up, I thought I was going to die and so did Gwi Hye, but as she said we were loosing weight. The view on the summit was awesome, it was worth it. Once back on the ground we went to restaurant where we all ate like pigs. Bulgogi (Korean barbecue) was absolutely delicious, so much for wieght loss. The University paid for our meals by the way.
In the afternoon we visisted a folk village : genuine restaured middle age houses. I was also very surpised to finf out that Lee Yeong Ae, my favorite Korean actress had been there to play in a drama that takes place at the time the houses were built. The moment I'm back in France I have to find and watch it.
During the ride back to the dorms I fell half asleep on my seat, bad idea, those who stayed awake decided to take photos '-_-. Bqck in our rooms I finally took the time to wash my old towel and tshirt, now the toom do not smell like there is a dead cat in it anymore woOt!
(The girl sitting 5 seats from me can watch two dramas at the same time while talking on the phone as well, OMG she's a ninja!!)
