I am a foreigner

When you're in a foreign country YOU are the foreigner, it is something one tend to forget, we were reminded of that the painful way. Because 99.9% of the local population and of the tourists are Asian, we, French are immediatly tagged as tourist, American tourists - who do not seem to be well welcomed here. In short in the streets people bump into you without a world, look at you as if you were an alien and watch you suspiciouly from behind their shop counters. On the other hand there are many many nice people on the campus, Korean girls and boys.

Just after I post my last entry there was a hell of a big thunderstorm - monsoon rain - thunder was so loud that a truly believed for a moment that something had exploded in the dorms.

I missed breakfast and I had to wait until after 4pm and a great deal of walking in the streets of Jeju to eat some kimbap bought in a supermarket. All that because, first when we tried to make cup ramion - instant noodles- we could not find any hot water anywhere - even if there were machins that were supposed to suply in every corner, and secondly because when we went in town we had a hard time deciding where to go - us being all the French girls and our teacher - nobody agreed on the same thing. We first visited the market place where you can find - among other things -  live octopuses and huge shellfishes.
Then Isabelle ( the other "adult" of the groups wanted to buy trousers, after a result we got lost in the town and I was still hungry. We finally choosed a small supermarket to buy some food. After our quick meal -if one may say so- of kimbap and a disgusting red bean flavored ice cream I could not finish, we met up with the French boys and the two Korean boys who accompanied them.

We were all dragge in a department store from which we got out as quickly as possible, leaving Isabelle and our teacher to ther owm business. Isabelle though the cafeteria closed down at 8pm, although we knew it was actually 7pm, but we did not hurry and when we realized that it was too late to catch the bus and be on time to eat in the cafeteria. So, after a bit of wandering and a lot of walking, but settled in a nice barbecue restaurant where we ate pork ;eat and all kind of side dishes : cucumber, kimchi, etc. And, of course, we drank soju, but not too much so we were back in the dorms early.

Tomorrow there is no way I am missing breakfast becaue anyway we have classes early in the morning, at 9pm.

Yeah I was sleepy anyway ^^
