Summary: Bridget has some questions for her father.

"Daddy?" Bridget padded into her father's room, blond plaits falling neatly down her back, already clad in her pajamas. The house was quiet. Mummy was having dinner with her brothers and Matty was already in bed. Her was lounging on his bed, shoes tucked neatly under the bed, reading something for work. Something that was probably boring as she found the majority of his work boring. "Daddy?" she asked again.

"Yes?" Justin glanced up and over the top of his glasses as she crawled up onto his bed, curling into his side. He was expecting her sooner or later.

"Tell me about Hogwarts?" The ends of her hair was twisted about her fingers as she listened to his steady heartbeat. They had gone to Diagon Alley to collect her books and robes, and all other sorts of necessities life her magical school required. Now Bridget was currently in possession of a little barn owl she had named Pamona, which had made her father laugh. Bridget would use the little owl too. She was going to owl home every day.

She was going to miss her friends from primary school, but this was Hogwarts. She wondered if she would be able to ice skate on the lake that supposedly held a giant squid. It was doubtful.

"Well, what do you want to know, bumblebee?" Marking his spot with his pen, he put the papers off to the side. Work could wait for now.

"Everything."

He laughed, a deep, rich sound that made her feel instantly warm and comfortable and loved. "I'm afraid even I don't know everything. Try again." He tweaked the end of her nose.

Bridget was slightly aghast at the fact that her father didn't know everything, because secretly, she thought he probably did, but she wouldn't let him know that. "Do you know the Headmaster? Is he nice? Will I see him a lot? What house do you think I'll be in? What was your favorite class? Which one did you hate?"

Her father laughed again, running a hand over her head as he pulled her into a hug. "So many questions. Where should I begin?"

She looked up at him, her nose slightly crinkled. "Daddy, you're being silly. The first one of course."

Briefly he wondered how he had gotten to this point. Would people really have called him silly just eleven years ago? Was he silly? Or did his children just bring out the best in him.

"Well, I do know Professor Flitwick. He taught me when I was school. And he's very nice. I don't know if you'll see him a lot. I hope not as I'd rather you not get in trouble. I don't know what house you'll be in, but I'll love you no matter what. I favored Transfiguration, but found i didn't care for Potions very much."

Of course, Professor Snape might have been the reason why he didn't care for the course, but Bridget didn't need to know that. He just counted his lucky stars that she would never have to deal with just a horrible excuse of a man. She would have the best professors possible, or he would know why.

"Any more questions?" He tapped the end of her nose with a grin.

Giggling, she tried to wiggle away from his poking and prodding fingers. "Daddy! Stop."

"Stop what?" Fingers turned tickling as he attacked her sides, before he pulled his daughter into his lap, happy to find that she was still not to grown up for a bit of a cuddle.

"No more tickling," she said in between bursts of laughter. As her breathing eased into it's normal rhythm, the eleven year old snuggled into her father, letting out a happy sigh as Justin's arms wrapped around her body, holding her close. "I'm going to miss you," she murmured, letting out a sleepy little yawn. "And Mummy and Matty of course."

The former Auror brushed a lock of hair out of her eyes, a sad smile crossing his face as he realized that his little girl was about to go away for months at a time. "Well that's good. Because I'm pretty sure we'll be missing you too."
