002- [Action] Mega-Mom and Dyno-Dad vs. the cannibal menace!

Nov 27, 2011 19:33

[Mom and Dad are actually both pretty skilled fighters, even unarmed. So they've actually been doing pretty well for themselves. You can catch the dynamic duo here in several situations.

A) Wandering around, clearly searching for someone. The names 'John' and 'Rose' can be heard. And they'll stop you if you don't look like one of the cannibals.]

That's what I'm worried about. My son can take care of himself, but it's a dad's job to worry.

Well, if you think it'll work, I'll try anything once.

[Dad smirks a little, seeming to appreciate what he sees as a mood-lightening joke from Dave.]

His name's John. John Egbert.

[Moms been quiet thus far, still scanning the horizon for any sign of Rose. But she has a pretty good idea who this kid is anyway. So she cuts right to the chase.]

And I assume we have the pleasure of addressing the younger Strider.

[Since he mentioned seeing John, she figures it won't hurt to ask.]

I don't suppose you've seen Rose around?

Well, if she has the time and wherewithal to discuss fashionable headwear, then I'm certain she's doing alright for herself.

[Rose is a tough girl. Mom has worked hard every day to make sure of that. She'll be fine. At least that's what Mom is trying to tell herself.]

And what about you? Are you managing well enough on your own?

[She figures they owe it to Bro to at least ask.]

Well, I'm sure I'll run into John sooner or later. In the meantime, why don't you come with us, Dave? Safety in numbers and all. We can all look for John and Rose together.

Covering ground isn't really our problem. The town isn't that big. Avoiding being sampled as a delicacy is a rather more pressing concern, don't you think?

Right. Those things hunt in packs, so it's better to stick together.

[She smiles. It's cute how the kid thinks they're the ones in need of help.]

Very noble of you. I'll certainly feel safer with two brave men around.
