No Money, No Problems

Last week I had a full time schedule which was cool, but for the two weeks coming up I'm getting basically no extra hours. At first I was worried about the whole money thing, but now I'm all good with it. Just gunna enjoy myself.

On Saturday was Sam's birthday party. I made the awesomest cake ever. Sun Shines on Sexy Tractor. Thanks to Amy for the inspiration! I brought some pirate eye patches to the party. When I was buying them I asked Scott how many he thought I should get. He was like "I don't know if you should get any. Will they wear them?" I was like, "OK, I'll get five." Of course they were all used. Best friends ever. Oh yes, I was also stung by a bee. Totally unprovoked. Nobody believed me at first because apparently I showed no emotion. I think I was just totally confused about what happened, I hadn't been stung in forever. Anywho, I had a ton of Fun. We had a little cookout, played some CHG until it got too dark to read, then we lit a fire, made some smores, and just chilled out by the fire.

Sunday, I worked two shifts, so nothing interesting there.

Monday I woke up, did my laundry and a bunch of chores around the apartment, then I got ready to go to the Les Claypool show. Scott and I made shirts that say "phantom patriot" on the front and on the back of his it says "Who wan'ts to go to D's Diner?" and on the back of mine it says "Who wants to go down to D's?" They are all song lyrics. We felt cool. Scott, the brothers Denmat (John and Max), Matt, and Pete came over to my apt basically just to use the bathroom, then we left and had dinner at the Sunset Grill. We got on the bus to Kenmore square, which was a messss because of the baseball game, although it was pretty awesome. We got there and our tickets were missing because they never we mailed to Scott and the venue changed and all of these confusing things, so they gave us a hard time but let us in. We were in the second row behind some gay australian people. They were very friendly, but very irritating during the show, and very tall. The show was so good. A couple of my friends didn't like the opener, but I thought they were all good musicians, the lyrics were sometimes a little strange, but it was all good. Les Claypool was, of course, godlike. Gabby La La learned how to play her instruments, although she picked up the wrong instrument twice. She seemed a little confused, but she was funny. The Percussionists were AWESOME. Best percussion solo in between sets ever. The show was so good that we're going to see them again tonight in Providence even though this wasn't planned until last night when Scott and Matt realized they were working morning shifts today and I'm not working at all. Yessssss.

So today I woke up, got directions, train times, show times, tickets, etc. Now I'm wasting some time until I leave. Then I'm off.

Things I'm pumped about:
Wednesday - see Katie and Paige!
Thursday - Going to Applebee's to visit Sam dressed like a pirate
