Nothing is going right today. Nothing is going terribly wrong, but definitely not right either.
I woke up and my cold has progressed to complete congestion - sucks, but I'm living through it. It isn't making me feel awful, it's just annoying.
I had two classes. After those, I was supposed to do work until a meeting I had at 5pm. I figured 6 hours would be plenty of time to catch up on all of the work that I'm behind on. That would have been good but I forget to pack the books I needed in the morning. So, I headed back out west to go to the study lounge. When I got to my room I realized that I had an appointment at 11am with my advisor. Being 5 minutes to 11 I figured I wouldn't make it so I called and rescheduled. Now I have to wait until next Friday to talk to her because that's her earliest appointment available. Suck. So then I started doing work. I was distracted by pretzels and Amy. Then I somehow ended up ordering Verizon DSL over the phone and yelling at some Verizon bitch named Mrs. Baker. (Only I wasn't so much yelling and she wasn't so much a bitch, but she was named Mrs. Baker). Anywho. Our cable TV is gunna be set up before our lease starts because Amy is wicked excited about that, but we won't have DSL until 6pm on April 11th because Verizon is slow. That's kinda pooey because I'm all pumped now about moving in, but I can't live without internet access. Seriously. After all of this is settled, I realized I gave the wrong address to the Verizon man that I set up the account with.
*Realtime LJ* Now, I'm calling back. Literally right now. I'm on hold. (HAHA Amy is calling me, I should switch over, I'll probably be on hold forever anyway. Oh, Amy went Bye bye.) OMG they finally just took my call then transfered me and this new lady is telling me I can't order dsl without a homephone numer. Ummmm I just did lady! THANKS.GAAAAHD. She told me to call a different number and that's the freakin wrong number. I just called Amy back and I quote her when I say "now I'm not get a verizon phone cause fuck!" Some idiots. Ok, now, I'm back at Verizon with Shanaynay. omg, she's transfering me right now to the first number I called! Where is the nice man I was talking to earlier that set up my account? That was easy as cheese because he was awesome. ok, the new person's name issss...Marrisha, sounds awfully like Shanaynay. I'm pretty sure it's still her. Not many people sound like Shanaynay. Transfering me again because she keeps spelling my last name wrong. I keep telling her how to spell it, but the alphabet doesn't come easy to Shanaynay. How many people at Verizon have I spoken to?(Good thing that I don't want to do all of the work I planned on getting done today and good thing my international management meeting *that I've been looking forward to all week* was canceled) Ok new lady sounds like a more feminine Ben Stein annnnnnd she's transfering me to the equipment deptartment. OMG I was just transfered to Miss Vaughn who is suuuuch a drag queen. I'm picturing Miss J from America's Next Top Model in my head right now. OK I cannot make fun of Miss Vaughn, he's totally helping me like whoa. I LOVE DRAG QUEENS! Thank you Miss Vaughn - totally the best drag queen working for Verizon ever! My shipping address is changed!
