NaNo

I'm rethinking the NaNo thing. Actually feeling the desire to write for the first time in *ages*. I'm getting that thing where random thoughts are coming as text, if that makes any sense. I'm thinking of trying to actually write something for NaNo-- so long as it's fun and not pressure, doesn't get too much in the way of work and school and such (not sure if this is *possible*, but hey, it's worth a try), and doesn't make me break my body in an effort to pull off a win. All of my disorders are flaring up at the moment-- including daily hot flashes (I really need to do that damned 12-hour fast + blood test for hormone levels, because if I'm *not* in perimenopause, I'm going to be very, very surprised. I feel like there's a volcano in my skin trying very hard to get out), so I just don't know if this is wise.

But so long as I remember the mantra ("So long as it's FUN"), I should be fine.

In 2003, I had a vague plan and a fairly well-defined world, and I won. Last year I had a VERY well-defined plot, characters, etc. and completely stalled. I've never really done the "no plot, no problem" thing before, it might be fun to try. The one thing I've learned? Never, EVER discuss a plot before I've written anything down. I did this at the attempt at a writing marathon I hosted last month-- I thought if I just discuss world and characters and not the actual *plot*, I'd be fine. I've had exactly zero desire to touch that project since. So it looks like I have two choices-- release my idea to the world as a written story, or release it by talking about it to people, but I can't do both.

So in the "fly by seat of pants" spirit, I put to you all a poll. I have several potential ideas, I'm not wedded to any of them. Here's what I'd like from you-- vote for which option you'd like to see me write/might like to read; and if you're interested in reading, put something down that you'd like to see in the story and I will challenge myself to work it in somehow.
