well, that was scary
Just had a plane go over my house going really, really low. This house is not normally in the flight path of either Dulles or National, at least, not close enough for passing aircraft to make my walls vibrate. Pitch was wrong for a fighter, too. This sounded like a commercial-size jet.
My first thought? And repeated thought? I hope to god it isn't another terrorist.
We rarely get natural disasters in DC, we just have a massive case of 9/11 PTSD. Or at least I do.
(I haven't forgotten the debate, btw. I'm just finishing making deadline for work, and there has been a lot of stress and fibro pain lately. I'm very distracted.)
