[her voice is gentle, though.]

"...Yeah."

[She sighs, bowing her head for a moment as she clutches at the hair she'd just cut off. But when she opens her eyes to look at Vietnam again, she's smiling as brightly as ever.]

"But I'm moving on. I have to face forward."

[lotuslife]

[she nods slowly.] I see.

"I decided that I need to change myself, to try to be stronger. I'm not going to let this town break me down. Not anymore."

[Clutches the hair in her hand, nodding seriously.]

[she reaches out and squeezes Taiwan's shoulder.] You've endured a lot lately.

[pinkplumblossom]

[Places a hand on top of her sister's, squeezing lightly at her fingers.]

"Yeah... but I'm not going to get anywhere just sitting at home crying over it. That's what they want us to do."

[...a nod.] It seems to be over. For now... We can try to get stronger.

"If you're still interested in helping me with that, do you think we could practice shooting sometime? I don't have a pistol of my own, but I could probably get someone to buy one for me."

[Holds up Japan's katana.]

"Japan said he'd teach me how to use this better, too. With all of that and my tae kwon do lessons with May Lee, I should at least be able to defend myself the next time something happens."

I'll find you something. If anything, you can ask America to borrow a gun.

That's true. I'd rather have one of my own, though. Maybe I can give someone some money to buy one for me. They don't let women buy firearms in this town, right?

No. I've gotten others to do it for me before.

So it shouldn't be too hard to get one of my own, then. I've got enough money saved up.

Perhaps ask Finland. He knows quite a bit about guns and helped me once.

Finland, huh? I don't know him that well, but I guess it can't hurt to ask.
