Okay so I have been bad about any kind of updates in my journal... oh well.. what can I do but get back on the wagon... ;-) I had a great brithday party - so many showed up and it ended up better then I expected. The gifts I got were awesome! Some were handmade, others neat gadgets and books and book ends - but most of all it was Love I felt from everyone there! Than you to everyone...
So I am going to catch up on everything but briefly... I went SKYDIVING!!! OMG... it is so fabulous... that whole day spent at the dropzone having ridden on the back of a motorcycle was surreal.... it was the mellowest day of my life! I have stills and a DVD of my first jump - yes it was Tandem but I had the best video guy, best tandem master, and best guy friend that took me! I am so going for my AFF....
There were weekends helping my friend Amy out with her new house, yardwork, drinking and hanging out and having a blast... !
I have seen The Da Vinci Code, RV, Stick It, Take the Lead, some others Iam fogetting but I am enjoying seeing the movies as I am...
Work is work - it has it's ups and downs as all jobs... but I really enjoy the peopel I work with minus a few tiffs with some... details later!
Kendell and I have had a blast doing stuff together as mommy and daughter! She is doing great in school... Her last day is this coming friday and tomorrow I am going to be up at her school helping the other schoool moms with Hawaiian Luau so I am bringing sliced ham, fresh cut pineapple, and marrachino cherries. In the morning when I get home I plan on making small horderves and bringing the three elements together on a toothpick... something fun! She is growing up so quickly - she will be in 4th grade next year - I think back to when I was in California and WOW... amazing with so much that has cahnged in the world today!
My friend Alex had a birhtday not too long ago and it was celebrated at Dave & Busters - I met so many neat people and had a great time.. Kendell made out like bandit with the tickets and got lots of prizes! Although I think the $$$ I spent buying the tickets allowed for the prizes to be selected..... Kids - they have no idea where money comes from! But oh well - she had fun and that is what matters!
There has been some sad news of late with some of my roommates and thier losses if loved family members.. I am very sorry for this and I wish for the healing to begin and to let the memories they have hold true and stay in thier hearts. At times it is hard ot know what to say - I am sorry seems the only phrase that kicks out but it is sincerely meant and sometimes that is all someoen can say. My ex-mother-in-law lost her mother back in March and I saw how it affected her so I can sympathize with Sara and John... I know that I havent' lost a immediate family member since 98' when my grandfather passed away but the feelings of loss rises anytime I hear of someone else's..
I am excited about my brother's return from Jacksonville, NC. He has been in training for the past year as Marine and now that his training is over, he will haev leave for 30 days starting this Thursday. He intends to drive to our sisters' house in simpsonville, SC and stay there for a couple of days then head home to GA... from there we are going to head to Tenn, with a couple of friends to go Spelunking (Cave diving) and I am elated! A weekend with Robi ! YEAH!!!!
So tonight I am in vacation mode - last week I emailed my manger to request Monday off (the 29th of May) and he replys back you mean Tuesday right? I was confused.. I had no idea that Monday was a holiday, it had completely skipped my mind! ;-) So I can still save vacation days! It worked out well I think though!
well I am probably forgetting some things to add in here but hey - I finally posted so if anyone actually reads this, I am currently upt to date!
Many hugs and smiles and lots of laughs!
