Halloween Candy

Well, Halloween is around the corner and so far I have one costume party I will be attending and then I will be trick or treating with my daughter in her father's neighborhood... he has many more kids in his area even though we are only seperated by one exit. for anyone not familiar with Cumming, everything is one exit up, one exit down.. yadda yadda. I am bored. I figured I would write something and think maybe I would be more prone to keep up what a true journal consists of. but hey, whatever. I realized that even with all the candy that is available, I am still wanting the 'good candy' you know, the chocolate, reeses, almond joy, the stuff we fought over as kids, I'll trade you this for that... Here at work, there has been placed this huge bowl of nonsense candy. Like I want to munch on Brach's hard orange candy or their mints, that is office candy or the stuff that is placed in a reception room. Where is the laffy taffy, the numerous airheads, chocolate... packs of m'm's and reeses pieces... the list can go on and on.. so what happened. We have kids and they know what the good stuff is and yet we as adults buy this 'good stuff' for them but don't you think that adults still have that kid in them and would like that good stuff to choose from when a candy bowl is placed at the office. Oh, yeah.. the weight factor for many obese or the diabetic, or anyone who is watching what thier calorie intake is. Yeah we are considerate of that, but what abotu those that understand moderation and would like to walk into the office and find the candy bowl and that right peice of candy that takes them back to childhood and know that 'they got the best piece' . that momemt of satisfaction and the pleasure of enjoying the candy? I guess I will have to buy my own bag...
