13 Months Old!
Elisha Ann Fulljames is 13 months old.
Isn't she gorgeous? This month has made my beautiful baby grow up a lot. Aside from the ringlets appearing on her head, and the lovely walking making her seem more grown up, we have had Elisha's cousin Katie come to live with us. Katie is 5 and a half weeks younger than Elisha, but is much smaller, much more timid, and just not as advanced as Elisha.
Elisha is very aware of all this, and she tries her hardest to look after her baby cousin. If Katie cries when her nappy is being changed, Elisha says 'ahhhhh' and holds her hand - if Katie isn't crying when her nappy is being changed, Elisha passes (far more than is needed) nappies, wipes, nappy sacks and various bum creams. If Katie cries and there is a bottle of milk nearby, Elisha helpfully tried to stick said milk in her mouth. Elisha quite often holds out her arms and tried to cuddle Katie, always saying 'ahhhhh'
Unfortunately it isn't often that Katie appreciates these gestures, but I feel completely humbled that this 13 month old little girl already tries her best to be kind and helpful. It makes me so so aware that she sees everything that we all do, and it makes me proud that she is already trying to be the best that she can be, even if it does go a bit wrong more often than not because she doesn't know her own strength.
